What is The Warren Laidler Experience?
The Warren Laidler Experience is a look at life through the lens of New Media Artist Warren Laidler. My areas of expertise are; Digital Photography, Videography, Video Editing and WordPress Theme Design. I have over a decade of experience in the New Media and Entertainment industries and I've been privileged and extremely fortunate to have worked for numerous well established companies in varied capacities. WordPress Web Designer, Product Photographer, HTML Coder, Video Editor, Webmaster, you name it i've worn the hat. As a result i've acquired a diverse skill set which enables me to provide my clients with far more than your typical Web Designer could.
As the title of this Blog suggests my expertise doesn't lie solely in Web Design but also in Digital Photography & Videography. Let me give you a little background information on where my creative inspiration comes from.
My Passion for Photography
I've had a desire to take photographs ever since I was a kid and I saw my first issue of National Geographic Magazine. It was beautiful. I was captivated by the creative skill of the Photographers and the new territories I would encounter with every new issue. I knew immediately that I wanted to take pictures that were of the same caliber as those i'd seen in the NatGeo pages. Visually stunning, thought provoking and breathtakingly vibrant. This Blog serves not only as a showcase of my WordPress Theme Design, Photography & Videography work but also as a personal journal of some of the moments, sights and sounds that i've encountered during my life's journey.

My Interests & Hobbies
Life can't be all F-stops and Photoshop. Believe it or not some of us techie nerds do have other interests :). If you don't know this already (then you're obviously not following me on Twitter) I'm a Boxing fanatic. I mean in the truest since of the word. If a fight is on television chances are i'm watching it. I love the fights, always have always will. I'm sure I got this from my Dad, he was a huge boxing fan. Check out the video clip below for highlights from the Mosley/Mayweather Fight from May 1st 2010. It could have been an upset.
Next, Music. I'm a huge music lover. R&B, Hip Hop, Blues, Jazz, Classic Rock, I love it all. If it's good (to me that is) I'll move to it. My Twitter and Facebook friends also know that i'm a Guitarist (get with the program) and I'm a member of a band called The Remedy (iTunes release coming soon).
Last but not least. I'm a Globetrotter. I love to travel. I'd go pretty much anywhere. Getting out in the world is how I get most of my inspiration. Check out some of the shots from my Location Photography collection for more on this.
