Village Folk

Village Folk

A few years ago while hanging out in the Village in New York City, I made my usual stop in Washington Square Park to hear the musicians play. I was just starting to learn to play the guitar around this time and this was always a good place to find some quick inspiration.

Now, while I’ll have to admit that the majority of amateur musicians that play in the park are mediocre at best, the two guys in this shot were pretty good. Folksy, but good. Everyone’s got a voice. It’s up to you how you express it.

Drums in the Park II

Drums in the park II

Another shot from the ‘Drums in the park’ series I shot in Central Park. I’ll be posting more of my black and white shots in the coming weeks and I figured I’d start things off with this one. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
